David Grimal regularly collaborates as a soloist with the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, the Berliner Symphoniker, the Russian National Orchestra, the New Japan Philharmonic, the English Chamber Orchestra, the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Philharmonia, the Lisbon Gulbenkian Foundation Orchestra, and Sinfonia Varsovia. As a natural extension of this desire to share, he has also created “L’Autre Saison”: a season of concerts to benefit the homeless in Paris. David Grimal was made a Knight in the Order of Arts and Letters in 2008 by the French Ministry of Culture. David Grimal teaches violin at the Musikhochshule in Saarbrücken. He plays the Stradivarius “Ex-Roederer” of 1710 with bows by Pierre Tourte, Léonard and François-Xavier Tourte and Pierre Grunberger.
